I am a sophomore Music Education major, and I attempted to make it through the first semester of my freshman year by simple memory but then quickly turned to a planner. In addition to keeping things written in my planner, I have also found it useful to make a small to-do list everyday, listing tasks in the order I plan to do them. Things as simple as practicing and ensembles make it onto the list. It's just a simple way to get accomplished what needs to be done without getting too overwhelmed. Great article!
