MusTech.net by Dr. Joseph Pisano – This is one of the best blogs about music and technology out there! Dr. Pisano blogs about music technology news, as well as sharing thoughts on integrating technology into the music curriculum. In addition, Dr. Pisano was responsible for the 100 ME Bloggers campaign that motivated me to start blogging about Music Education!

Music Technology in Education by Dr. Jim Frankel – Dr. Frankel is the managing director of SoundTree, and one of the brightest minds in the field of Music Technology. He writes about new products he has encountered, as well as his experiences traveling the country and giving presentations on behalf of SoundTree.

Music Education Magic by Chad Criswell – MusicEdMagic is an all-encompassing website that discusses anything a music educator could possibly want to know. With topics ranging from instrument repair to music history to the newest music gadgets, there isn’t a subject that Mr. Criswell and his team don’t cover!

Elementary Music/Music Technology by Amy Burns – Ms. Burns provides excellent insight into ways to integrate technology into the elementary music curriculum, as well as sharing her experiences from conferences and presentations she gives.

MusicTeachers911 by Larry Marra – Mr. Marra, who publishes the MusicTeachers911 podcast (see below), has a blog in which he chronicles his experiences as a professional musician on the side. His blog features funny stories and experiences from his gigs.

The Musician’s Way Blog by Gerald Klicksten – Mr. Klickstein, author of The Musician’s Way, has a comprehensive website to accompany the book. In addition to this website, Klickstein blogs on topics worth reading for musicianship and wellness.

Podcasts

The MusTech.net Podcast by Dr. Joseph Pisano and Mr. Darren Morton – Dr. Pisano, who is the creator of MusTech.net (see above), publishes a podcast with colleague Darren Morton, discussing the latest news in the world of Music Technology

MusicTeachers911 by Larry Marra – Mr. Marra shares tips, interviews, and music that will help any level music teacher with their work. He also shares a recording of a piece or two from MacMillan publishing company during each podcast episode.

Music Tech for Me by Keith Mason – Mr. Mason publishes a podcast twice a month discussing details of Music Technology, including specific focus on implications for DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) programs such as GarageBand and Logic.

Musically and Technically Speaking by Carol Broos and Brenda Muench – Ms. Broos and Ms. Muench publish a podcast of a weekly Skype call they do, with a different topic of discussion each week. Topics center around teaching music at the K-8 level.
